Enrolling in high school is a milestone moment, and shapes your future! Thank you for your interest in SAIL High School. We look forward to getting to know you.

The School for Arts and Innovative Learning (SAIL) is a vibrant learning community serving students in 9th-12th grade. As a part of the Leon County School system, we put our classrooms first – academics, arts, creativity, and innovation are the heart of SAIL education.

Our small school size and close-knit environment allows for cross-curricular exploration, project-based learning, and indvidiualized education for all students. We are here to make sure that each individual student can pursue their interests while being prepared for the next step in life.

All potential students must complete the following steps:

1. Submit a complete application with all required attachments to Deanna.Perry@leonschools.net

2. Complete an Intake Interview by choosing one option below

3. Complete the LCS School Choice application in the FOCUS Parent Portal. For more information about this process please vist the LCS School Choice Website

Once accepted, requirements for enrollment vary based on whether the student is currently enrolled, previously enrolled, or has never been enrolled with a Leon County School.

Current LCS student:

  • Students who attended a Leon County Schools school in 2025-2026 will be contacted to discuss academic advising and course selection.

Returning LCS student:

  • Students who attended any LCS school since 2018, but not in 2025-2026, must complete the LCS Re-Enrollment Procedures.
  • Once the LCS re-enrollment process is completed, the student and family will be scheduled for a Student Services meeting to discuss academic advising and course selection.

Student New to LCS:

Students new to Leon County Schools (i.e., have never attended a LCS school previously) must complete the following steps:

Yes! We have 5 dedicated days in January and February for prospective students to spend a day on SAILs campus. Students will be able to see our fine arts programs, eat lunch with our SGA, and see what a day in the life of a typical SAIL student is. Students should be dropped off by 7:30am, bring a packed lunch, and be prepared to have a full day! We end at 1:50pm.
